Nissi Beach is located on the south-eastern tip of the sun-drenched island of Cyprus. This world famous horseshoe bay is known as one of Cyprus's most beautiful beaches (5 mins walk from apartment). The sand is white and the crystal clear waters are calm and shallow, perfect for children to play in or adults to soak and relax. If you enjoy doing something a bit more energetic the amazing selection of water sports will keep you busy. There are numerous beach bars and restaurants to cater for everyone’s tastes, from lively music to watching the perfect view.
NOTE: The sunbeds are no longer included as we found that guests spend more time around the pool area.
The Space:
Luxury 2 bed apartment just 3 mins walk from the world famous Nissi Beach, Ayia Napa. Ideal for weddings at Nissi Beach, Adams beach, Aneasis hotels.
The Neighborhood:
It’s hard to believe that only 20 years ago Ayia Napa was a sleepy fishing village with a population of 200. Named after a small church located in the centre of the village, Saint Panayia, meaning Mother of Christ, the village was transformed into a tourist resort after the invasion of Famagusta in 1974 which resulted in a huge loss of tourism for the island.
Contrary to popular belief, this cosmopolitan town isn't just a vast collection of pubs and clubs for the 18 to 30 crowd. In fact, there's something for everyone in this once sleepy fishing village. White sandy beaches set between un-spoilt coastal paths are the main attraction of this beautiful stretch of coastline and shallow turquoise waters provide a perfect setting for beach lovers.
The appeal of Ayia Napa is simply that it has so much to offer. Long stretches of sandy white beaches, hundreds of fantastic bars and restaurants and a multitude of attractions and activities for both day and night guarantee a fun-filled holiday for visitors of all ages.
Ayia Napa has easy access to the towns of Paralimni and Deryneia, and the resorts of Protaras, Pernera and Kapparis. Although Ayia Napa has supermarkets, restaurants and bars, we feel that a car is really essential for maximum pleasure.
Getting Around:
Cyprus has a great public bus network with a bus stop just a few minutes walk. There are several route taking you in all directions from Paralimni to Pernera to Protaras and even Larnaca. Buses also take you to Water World Water Park. It is very inexpensive and is a great way to explore the island.
